First developed in the Ratnik experimental weaponry brigade, the APM-6 “Matryoshka” was Kessikbayev’s attempt to create a more powerful breach charge. It proved to be an effective means of clearing a room, dealing the most damage to hostiles while keeping the Operator relatively safe. The “Matryoshka” can be anchored either vertically or horizontally. Once deployed, the piston burrows through walls or floors, dispersing live cluster grenades while spinning to deal the most damage from any directions.
BIO
Growing up in a military family in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Shuhrat Kessikbayev emigrated to Russia shortly before the fall of the Soviet Union. He is an expert tinkerer and master craftsman, more at ease with the workings of machines than people.
He carries a cluster charge of his own invention, which when planted on a wall or floor, bores a hole through it, releasing a group of small fragmentation grenades.

Kapkan is a very efficient trapper, being capable of placing his traps inside doorways and windows, which will be detonated by enemies going through them. The EDD Mk II can be mounted into windows and door frames. It explodes when enemies enter trapped entryways, projecting shrapnel at anyone located in the device’s blast radius.
BIO
Born and raised in Kovrov, Basuda is the son of factory workers. To escape a life in the factory, he enlisted with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and was sent to a small port town on the Barents Sea. Basuda became an avid hunter and trapper during his time in the Arctic Circle.
This expert in lures and traps carries into battle a trap equipped with a laser trip for windows and doors certain to impede any foe (or friend) caught in its blast.

Timur Glazkov is an expert marksman with experience in the South Ossetian conflict and years of VIP protection duty.
As Rainbow's sniper, he is the squad member with the most expertise in long range scoped weaponry. Glaz can use a magnifier scope to transform his Dragunov into a deadly long-range riffle.

A collector of antique weapons, Senaviev prefers to use original parts rather than modern variants from Somalia, Libya, and Syria, to maintain his RP-46. He utilizes the international collector’s market for replacements or will mill his own components when parts cannot be located or are not cost-effective to acquire.
BIO
Alexsandr Senaviev is an iconoclast who came of age in a pre-glasnost red army family and has retained an interest in soviet machinery and weaponry.
During operations, he deploys a signature vintage mounted machine gun that he has restored and maintained with loving care.
