Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where were you golden goode able to get your pair?

I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.

I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .

How expensive are they?

When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid just under $390, but their standard price is around $514.

These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $410 and $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.

Do they fit as expected?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.

They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

Are they comfortable?

Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in..

Do they hold up well?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How do they compare to other sneakers?

They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.

Would you buy again?

Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also look great.
